Chris Paul will make Knicks contenders

The Knicks are a superb team in terms of offensive power. But when it comes to defense, they are not the best. I believe they were ranked number three when it came to allow points to be scored. This might be due to their coach's philosophy of a fast paced game, where defensive isn't emphasized. Another shortcoming of the Knicks is the hole in the PG and Center position. The Knicks lack a reliable point guard. We know they have Toney Douglas and even Billups but that's not enough!

They need someone like Chris Paul, in order to really run Mike D'antoni's famous second seconds or less system. CP3 has the quickness, physique, ball handling, court vision, and shot to really have a huge impact.

He's not a guy who wants to score, instead he wants to setup his teammate. This will be perfect for the Knicks due to them having two of the best offensive talents in the NBA. Carmelo Anthony is said to be the best pure scorer and Stoudemire pops up #2 on the list of best Power Forwards in the league.

CP3 will be able to give these guys open looks and make plays. This will allow them to score more easily and make the defensive collapse. They would have to focus on Athony, Stoudemire, and of course CP3, who will keep the defense honest with his ability to shoot from the perimeter, 3 point line, and of course drive in like a true point guard.

What does this mean if CP3 goes to New York? Well, this means a playoff series win in their first year, and possibly conference finals or finals in the second year if quality role/bench players are signed or retained.
